How does hypnotherapy work?

Depending on the reason for requiring hypnotherapy, results can often be seen very quickly. An anti-smoking session is a single 2 hour session and specific phobias such as spiders, flying or heights can be dealt with in approximately 4 sessions.  Other conditions relating to anxiety, stress, OCD or low mood may take a bit longer but improvement can usually be seen in 8-12 sessions.

Hypnotherapists guide their customers to reach a natural state of focused awareness known as trance. While in this state it is much easier for the mind to accept positive suggestions to reinforce the changes the customer wishes to make.

Success is very much dependent on the customer's willingness and determination to buy into and participate in the process as explained by the therapist.
